Nintendo Wii – Screw the NEW stuff, GIVE ME THE OLD

I own both XBOX 360 and Nintendo Wii.

Bottom line – I like the new games on XBOX 360 better. I don’t like having to jump through my living room to play the latest and greatest games on my WII… but what I do love about Nintendo Wii is that I can download and play all of the old games that I used to love when I was 10 years old through the “Virtual Console.” Basically you purchase points either online or through the Wii itself, then you browse the old games and use your points to purchase them. It works out to about $20 per game.

You can play games from NES, SNES, N64, NEOGEO, Sega Genesis and TurboGrafx (full list here). Some of my favorite old games: RYGAR, Super Mario World, Sonic the Hetchhog, Booble Bobbel, Marble Madness, Load Runner… oh I won’t bother trying to list them all.

Keep Your Fingers Clean with Amazon Kindle

I know that many purists will shun the notion of abandoning their hard-cover books and their Sunday times in favor of a small light-weight machine like Amazon Kindle – but there is something to be said for being able to beam books and newspapers into your hand… quickly… without worrying about syncing to your computer or finding a free wireless hotspot.

Yes the coolest thing about the Amazon Kindle is that it comes with free wireless Internet and you can download from tens of thousands of books, magazines, and newspapers and read them on an unreal liquid paper display.

I’ve bought it. I like it. It’s hot.
